If you are considering employment [or are already employed] in a US organization that operates internationally or you just want to sharpen your ability to think on your feet in English, this 18-hour course will be very helpful to you.

The way people negotiate in a US business setting can be very different from your country of origin both in terms of business norms and processes as well as the language required. This course will provide an opportunity to develop and apply business negotiation skills that mesh with US business customs while maintaining sensitivity to cross cultural issues.

The goal is to develop communicative competence in a business negotiations  setting. The classes are organized as workshops around progressively more complex cases and students will actually engage in negotiations using a negotiation worksheet and a position presentation worksheet.

Admission is contingent upon satisfactory completion of WBFN’s Communicating in Business and Business Presentations courses [or equivalent], advanced English reading and speaking skills, and permission of the instructor.
