As 2024 comes to a close, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your unwavering dedication and support during this first quarter of our presidencies. Your involvement is the foundation of all we accomplish at WBFN, and we are truly grateful for your continued contributions. Together, we look forward to achieving even greater milestones in 2025.
The MMEG International Arts & Crafts Market held on November 19–21 at the World Bank’s MC building was a vibrant celebration of global culture and creativity. With around 50 vendors, the event showcased unique products from across the world. We applaud MMEG’s leadership and commitment and are proud to share that, with your support, MMEG has awarded grants to 562 women in 79 developing countries helping them create positive change in their communities.
We sincerely thank the Executive Committee (EC) for their hard work this quarter. Each member has shown remarkable dedication as program chair, ensuring the success of their initiatives through teamwork. The WBFN leadership team has also been focused on advancing our FY24 Strategic Agenda to make WBFN more accessible and responsive to our global members. Key initiatives include:
- A member survey to better understand the needs of our local spouses and partners.
- An evaluation of our programs and services to ensure their effectiveness.
- Developing a business plan for WBFN’s future growth and sustainability.
Your participation in the survey will help guide our efforts and ensure we continue to support you effectively.
We invite you to join us for the Tax and Financial Planning Seminar on December 4, 2024, and to prepare for our State Tax Seminar in January. These events are part of our ongoing commitment to providing valuable resources for our community.
As we wrap up the year, we are excited to invite you and your families to our Children’s Holiday Party on December 7, 2024. This year’s theme, “CHP Global League” promises a joyful celebration of the season at the MC building.
Lastly, we sincerely thank our partners within the World Bank Group (WBG) for their invaluable support. Our fruitful and meaningful collaboration has been instrumental in achieving our shared goals.
