Special Announcement

The Family Network works with various units within the World Bank Group and external organizations to exchange ideas, collaborate and offer a wide range of resources and support to our members. We highlight here some useful resources available to you and encourage you to further explore our partner websites for information that will help you before, during and after your relocation as a WBG spouse or partner

OPEN ALLCOLLAPSE ALL

From vehicles to housing to household goods to community events listings, the WBG Bulletin Board is the place to find what you are looking for or place a classified ad yourself. The Bulletin Board is open to World Bank Group or IMF staff, their spouse/partner and members of the 1818 society only. Spouse/partner needs to be previously registered on the Bulletin Board or on the Global Mobility Services portal (see below) by staff member to access the site.

The Global Mobility Services portal has information about the relocation process, country specific information, a social hub, a knowledge center, and information on benefits. Short Term Consultancy (STC) opportunities at the WBG can be accessed through the GMS portal. Registration to the WBG Bulletin Board is also possible through the GMS portal

In the section hosting country specific info, you will find information on health, security, housing, schools, child care, household staff, transportation/driving, banking, lifestyle, culture, and spouse support and employment, including:

  • WBG Relocation Guide
  • Culture Guides: Mercer Passport, Culture Grams
  • Fragomen Spouse Work Permit Report

The portal is located in the WBG intranet and is accessible to spouses and partners who have registered with Global Mobility.  Your spouse/partner (WBG staff) will need to register you through the WB intranet at  or you can email Global Mobility for more information

Be informed about health alerts, classes and lectures in the WBG community through the external website of the Health & Safety Directorate. You can learn more about the health services and health promotion programs available for spouses and partners of WBG staff at HQ and in Country Office locations.

The site also provides detailed information about medical insurance plans and benefits. The WBG Domestic Abuse Prevention Program (DAPP) page on the website offers a wealth of resources on domestic violence prevention and guidance for individuals in domestic abuse situations.
