WBFN programs and activities are run by our members for our members. Our volunteers are members from around the world who dedicate their time, talents and energy to giving back. Volunteering at WBFN is not only a great opportunity to use your skills and experience for the benefit of the WBG and wider communities, but also to learn new skills, enhance your professional development, and boost your social life. WBFN volunteers work in an extraordinarily wide range of positions, from event organization and database management to branding and graphic design. Get Involved—Volunteer Engagement Team
The Volunteer Engagement Team's (VET) work involves recruiting, engaging and coordinating the tasks of new and existing volunteers. The group enables volunteers to share their time and expertise through different activities and events aimed at helping members of the WBFN Family grow to their full potential as individuals and as professionals.
Volunteer positions within the VET are supportive in nature to the work of the team lead. The tasks that are entrusted to them will largely be around recruitment of members and ensuring alignment of their skills and experience with the volunteer opportunities available on an ongoing basis. In addition, VET members’ responsibility includes regular follow-up to ensure that interaction between volunteers and team leaders proceeds productively and smoothly.
