WBGFN programs and activities are run by our members for our members. Our volunteers are members from around the world who dedicate their time, talents and energy to giving back. Volunteering at WBGFN is not only a great opportunity to use your skills and experience for the benefit of the WBG and wider communities, but also to learn new skills, enhance your professional development, and boost your social life. WBGFN volunteers work in an extraordinarily wide range of positions, from event organization and database management to branding and graphic design. Get Involved—Volunteer Engagement Team
Volunteers are the driving force of the Family Network, and Volunteer Engagement Team is the supporting force behind our volunteers.
If you like collaborating and coordinating with volunteer teams and members from behind the scenes for Family Network’s activities and programs, or be in the frontline of action, VET is the place for you!
The group enables volunteers to share their time and expertise through different activities and events to help members of the WBGFN Family grow to their full potential as individuals and as professionals.
Volunteer positions within the VET are supportive in nature of the work of the team lead. The task will be around recruiting members and ensuring alignment of their skills and experience with the volunteer opportunities available on an ongoing basis. Also, VET members’ responsibility includes regular follow-up to ensure that interaction between volunteers and team leaders proceeds productively and smoothly.
