Do you have a few hours a week to volunteer with the Professional Development Program Team? Our team of volunteers support the professional development program which is designed to equip spouses/partners with strategies and tools to manage their careers as globally mobile professionals. We value your contribution toward training others with any specific expertise/skill set you would like to share. We also welcome your participation in existing sessions that may help you acquire and practice new skills. Training is provided to enable you to be successful. Duration of assignments is flexible according to your availability. You could be involved in providing support in the following areas:

Program Coordinator

General Description
The Professional Development Program (PDP) Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the PDP, implementation of the program strategy, organization of PDP events, and supervision of the PDP Team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the program activities
- Develop and implement the PDP strategy in collaboration with the PDP Team and WBGFN Career Advisor
- Call team meetings, set agendas, record and distribute meeting minutes
- Maintain all relevant PDP documents and records in the Sharepoint drive and shared Google drive
- Responsible for creating and updating shared Google calendar and team’s folders in Google drive
- Oversee planning, implementation, logistics and evaluation of Thematic Sessions and Networking Events
- Maintain PDP database in collaboration with WBGFN office staff
- Collaborate across WBGFN teams including Welcoming, VET, Resource Management, Knowledge Management, and Communications
- Manage PDP email and respond to inquiries
- Present the Professional Development Program at different forums
- Prepare monthly reports for Executive Committee and annual report
- Work in coordination with WBGFN Presidents to manage relationships with sister and external organizations

CLAN Coordinator
Activity Group: Professional Development | Position: CLAN Coordinator |

General Description
The role of the (Career Lab Alumni Network) CLAN coordinator is to build/strengthen the alumni network and update alumni data. He/she will be primarily responsible for the annual update of the CLAN database.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Organize annual survey of CLAN members ready for dissemination.
- Liaise with office to send out reminders
- Provide report after annual update
- Follow up calls to members who did not respond to survey
- Help with organization of CLAN events
Qualitative requirements
- Must have attended Career Lab
- Strong written and spoken communications skills to communicate thoughts and ideas in a clear and cohesive manner
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel
- Proven planning and organizing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively reach out and interact with a diverse group of people
- Ability to interact positively with people of different cultures
- Foreign languages skill is desirable but not mandatory
Qualification required
A Bachelor’s degree. Ability to communicate in a comprehensive and clear manner in one or more languages such as English, French, Spanish etc.
