Dear WBFN members and Partners Worldwide,
As spring blooms around us, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your support and commitment to our community. Your presence makes a difference, and together, let’s continue to spread kindness and support.
We are excited to share the launch of our workshop series “Navigating International Transitions and Raising Third Culture Kids.” These sessions introduce parents to the concept of Third Culture Kids and address the unique challenges and opportunities they encounter living across cultures. The first session of our four-part series was a great success, drawing over 100 participants from around the globe!
We are also thrilled to share that our Children’s Art Competition, initiated by our honorary president Mrs. Ritu Banga, received 900 entries and art sessions were held in more than 15 countries. The enthusiasm has been truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to announce the final judging results in the third week of April.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who submitted applications for the Executive Committee (EC) and Nominating Committee (NC). The nominating committee has completed its call for candidates, and voting details will be shared soon. Remember, your vote is crucial in shaping the future of WBFN!
Please mark your calendars! Our Annual Meeting will take place on May 13, 2025, and our Annual Dinner on May 29, 2025. We encourage you to join us as we celebrate our achievements and welcome our new leadership for the upcoming year.
Finally, do not miss our Open House at HQ on May 1, 2025, where we will celebrate our diversity. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect and honor our community’s vibrant spirit!
Thank you for 53 years of unwavering dedication in making WBFN a welcoming and supportive space for World Bank families worldwide. Together, we are for volunteers, by volunteers!
Warm regards,
Sandipa and Joel
